The 1000 Islands region is deceptively home to about 1,865 islands, nestled between Canada and the U.S. on the beautiful and historic St. Lawrence River. The nature of paddling is both a continuous adventure and a learning experience. Jan Brabant and family, natives of Clayton NY, started T.I. Adventures 23 years ago. Although their kayaking experience spans for over 40 years, they welcome the opportunity to refine both your paddling skills and theirs. Over 40 year experience, and still learning!
Although our paddling services thrive in the spring and summer seasons, we offer unique services year round as well. In the winter months, we offer snow kiting lessons and sales by appointment only. The 1000 Islands has wide, open farmland and vast space- making it the hottest spot to snow kite this side of the Rockies! There is also ample opportunity for ice exploration when the river and bays freeze over. Just South of us is the Tug Hill Plateau which, due to its vast amounts of lake effect snow, is another ideal location for kiting. Tug Hill snow is measured more often in feet than in inches! Sometimes it’s not uncommon to be kiting in October if the Lake Effect snow at Tug Hill kicks in early enough!
Because weather and other factors demand that we constantly operate under the safest possible conditions, T.I. Adventures LLC reserves the right to cancel any trip for prudent reasons and to change the location on any given day. If we cancel, we will refund your payment in full or reschedule, whichever you prefer.
